Roxanne thanks Preston Baker for career boost

Roxanne Harrison, a former bank manager, thanks Preston Baker Estate Agents for instilling her with new impetus when it comes to her career following a new job and quick promotion at the company.

Roxanne, who joined Preston Baker’s First Contact team in June 2020, was promoted to Lettings Support Agent covering the Leeds area in April this year.

“I am now looking to progress further,” said Roxanne.

“Coming to Preston Baker has been so good for me and has really given me a boost. The company is very encouraging when it comes to getting the best out of you and helping you develop.”

Roxanne, who lives in Pudsey, Leeds, took voluntary redundancy from her bank manager role with Lloyds Bank during a restructuring of the bank. Afterwards she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with her career and following a brief foray into retail she decided she missed being in a customer-facing role and dealing one-on-one with customers.

“I could have gone back into banking but instead I thought I would try something completely different and applied to join the First Contact team at Preston Baker Estate Agents. I had no previous estate agency experience but I was successful in getting the role.”

Through her work in First Contact, Roxanne found she had a natural leaning towards lettings and working with tenants.

“It was while I was working in the First Contact team that I found I got a lot of satisfaction from talking to tenants and helping them to find a property. I am grateful that I was allowed to move into Lettings and become a Lettings Support Agent where no two days are ever the same.

“My time with Preston Baker has really motivated me and now I am looking to keep going here and see just where I can go.”

Outside work, Roxanne has been busy planning her upcoming wedding to fiancé Damien. Both keen travellers (Damien proposed to Roxanne in Thailand), the wedding is to have a travel theme and will feature their beloved “crazy” cat Milo.
