Popular with families, North Duffield is a small village of less than 2,000 residents complete with a primary school and outstanding scenery in the surrounding countryside. Edged by the River Derwent to the east and Skipwith Common to the west, it is a great part of Yorkshire with a number of impressive properties to choose from.

THINGS TO DO
North Duffield has a church, village hall, village green, duck pond, park, bowls club and a football team. There is also a local History and Conservation Society for the surrounding area. Nearby is the Oaks Golf Club, Skipwith Common and Lower Derwent Valley National Nature Reserve.

The Kings Arms is the local village pub and there is The White Swan in Bubwith and The Drovers Arms in Skipwith, all with food menus.
SHOPPING
There is a Costcutter and hairdressers in North Duffield but for larger shopping you can head to one of the superstores in Selby or head north to York.
SCHOOLS
There is North Duffield Community Primary School and secondary education is found at Barlby High School, less than four miles away.
TRANSPORT LINKS
Lying off the A163, it is just 10 minutes to get to Selby and, using York Road, you can get to the City of York in half an hour. Leeds is less than an hour away and here you can get to Leeds Bradford International. Robin Hood Airport is around 30 miles.
HISTORY
North Duffield has always been an agricultural village and was named in the Domesday Book as Nort Duffelt. Being in the Derwent Valley, next to a navigable river, it was useful for hundreds of years for transport access to the ocean. Freshwater fish such as salmon and trout meant it was also a food source from the 13th to 18th centuries. Menthorpe Gate railway station serviced the village between 1853 and 1953.
