Sainsburys Local is a 5/8 minute walk. Waitrose is a 15 minute walk. There are two Aldis within a 10 minute walk (one on Harrogate Road, just off Stainbeck Lane) and one in Meanwood. ) There is a Lidl on Harrogate Road and Sainsburys and Tesco are a 10 minute drive from the flat. M&S food is on Moortown Parade – 10 minute drive. All stores mentioned have ample parking spaces.

There are at least 3 libraries in the near vicinity, including one within a 10 minute walk (Harrogate Road). The other two (Headingley and Moortown) are a 10 minute drive away. There is a big B& Q in Moortown and a David Lloyd Leisure club in Meanwood (10 minute drive). All the facilities in Headingley are a 10 minute drive away, including Headingley Rugby ground and Carnegie sports facilities. Chapel Allerton has its own tennis club (Stainbeck Lane) and its own Police station (Stainbeck Lane). Many bus routes and stops (down the hill on Stainbeck Lane, opposite Sainsburys local) and on Scott Hall Road.
Meanwood ridge is a 10 minute walk away and Meanwood Park a 15/20 minute walk away.
