Propertymark Level 3 Award in Sale of Residential Property for Holly

Congratulations to Preston Baker’s Assistant Land and Planning Manager Holly Dawkes who has just passed Propertymark Level 3 Award in Sale of Residential Property.

This is the leading Level 3 qualification for individuals in the property industry and covers the key areas related to the sale of residential property, including health and safety, general law, law specific to residential sales, property appraisals, and basic building construction and defects.

"Maximise the value of sites"

Commenting on her Propertymark success, Holly said: “In my role as Assistant Land and Planning Manager at Preston Baker it is crucial to understand the process behind the sale of property and its construction. This is because ultimately everything we do within the planning department is with the overarching view to maximise the value of sites which is dependent on the value of the properties that can be built on the site, and the costs associated with construction.”

The final module of the qualification relating to construction and potential defects had the most direct impact on Holly’s planning work as it gave her “an understanding of the factors that impact the choice of construction methods”.

“The qualification also gives me an appreciation of the industry as a whole and the work of other specialists, which helps me to do my job more perceptively,” said Holly.

Preston Baker support

Preston Baker paid for Holly to do her exams, for the study material and for her Student membership.

The Level 3 award from Propertymark, the UK’s specialist awarding organisation offering industry-recognised qualifications in property, gives Holly Member Grade membership of NAEA Propertymark.

“I am very grateful to Preston Baker for its support and opportunities within property”, said Holly, adding: “Moving forward I am just beginning a six-month internal training programme with Rob Crolla, Preston Baker’s Head of Planning, so that I can further develop my skills and knowledge, specifically relating to planning consultancy.”
