Rob Crolla has ambitious plans for helping Preston Baker grow its New Homes, Land and Planning Division
Rob Crolla, the newly-appointed Head of Planning at Preston Baker, is a man with an enviable pedigree and ambitious plans for helping Preston Baker grow its New Homes, Land and Planning Division.
Rob, who has over 20 years of planning experience, is heading up a new in-house planning service at Preston Baker.
“It’s such an exciting time to join Preston Baker and head up the new in-house planning team with the focus on offering the very best value and service to our clients,” said Rob.
He added: “I am looking to grow the planning team and the pipeline of new sites and related planning applications.
“We look to identify sites in Yorkshire that are suitable for planning, preferably for between five and 50 houses, and then look after the entire process for the landowners, covering the cost of planning and helping them to realise the full value of the land. Our expertise of the planning landscape allows us to put forward informed and impactive cases.
“That’s where the real job satisfaction is; in getting consents through for clients.”
Rob said there was a real lack of housing supply presently, meaning there has never been a better time for landowners to realise the value of their land.
“Releasing money from unused or unwanted land can create much-needed housing and also give individuals and families money to pursue ventures, dreams and life goals,” said Rob.
Rob is a highly experienced Chartered Town Planner who has successfully delivered numerous, complex planning consents for a wide variety of developments across the UK, for landowners, developers and operators.
His experience includes roles with Asda, Savills, Indigo Planning and CODA Planning.
Rob joins the Preston Baker New Homes, Land and Planning Division at a very exciting time in its development. In 2020, the division was instrumental in the disposal of over £80m in property.

Rob, who lives in Tadcaster with his wife and two children, likes to spend any spare time he gets playing golf, cycling or supporting his favourite football club Grimsby Town.
