Danielle thankful to Preston Baker for “exciting new career opportunity”
Excited about a new career and life chapter
Promotion for Danielle
Danielle Brear is excited about a new career and chapter in her life, and says it’s all down to the support and belief placed in her by Preston Baker Estate Agents.
After just over a year with the company, Danielle, from Pontefract, has been promoted to Trainee Mortgage Advisor and Preston Baker has funded her CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualification.
Danielle said: “I am just so grateful for the support I have had here. I feel cared for and I am just so grateful for this opportunity. I want to prove they made the right choice in investing in me and be one of the best mortgage advisors.”
Danielle joined Preston Baker Estate Agents, which covers York, Leeds, Selby and Doncaster areas, in March 2020, just before lockdown. She began as a Negotiator in Selby. Prior to that she had sold bathrooms for five years and then briefly worked at another estate agents, before moving to Preston Baker. She moved wanting to be part of a company that presented opportunities for her to develop.
CeMAP training funded by Preston Baker
“Following the lockdown in March I became a First Contact Advisor, part of the inbound team within the Preston Baker Academy, and it was noted that I was good at booking Financial Services appointments. I was encouraged to apply for a job as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor as I was told I had good potential. Preston Baker supported me and offered to pay for my CeMAP training. It was really lovely to be recognised in this way. There are other progression routes I could have taken but this is an area I really enjoy and I am fortunate to be supported by the company.”
Danielle said there had been lots of support for the Preston Baker teams during lockdown, which had been a hard and very busy time.
“You feel like a person, not a number”
“There is always someone on hand to help and give us the tools, support and time we need. It feels very much like being part of a family here. You feel like a person, not a number. Preston Baker is very much a company where if you put in the work you get rewarded. I have a few colleagues who have progressed like me.”
Danielle, who got engaged to her partner Ste when lockdown eased for a time last year and he whisked her away to Milan for a day to propose, has just bought a house with Ste. She said this and her new career opportunity made her feel very fortunate.
“I am so pleased to be given this great opportunity by Preston Baker and I am ready to really give it my all.”
