Anne praises Preston Baker for refurbishment and let of her family home in York
Anne very thankful to the Preston Baker team
When Anne Thompson was struggling to find anyone to carry out refurbishment work on her family home in Parker Avenue in York she said Preston Baker Estate Agents stepped in and did the necessary work and let it promptly.
“Preston Baker has really helped make life much easier for me this year,” said Anne.
“Dad died in January and I was in two minds whether to sell his York bungalow or rent it out. It’s only our family that has lived in the bungalow; it was brand new when we moved there in 1970 when I was 13, and it means a lot. I remember my parents Geoff and Joyce paid £3,000 for the bungalow.
“I wanted to get the kitchen and bathroom refurbished but I just couldn’t get anyone to do the work for five to six months and that was when I spoke to Carola from Preston Baker. The same day I had Chris round from the Preston Baker Property Maintenance team and he quoted and then the work was completed. It was a smooth-running refurbishment project and I was kept informed throughout and any questions were answered fully and promptly.”
Anne, who now lives in Hull, said Carola and Chris were great to work with.
“We have just let the property with the help of Carola and her colleagues at Preston Baker. We got good initial advice from Carola about letting requirements, marketing, timescales etc and she organised great marketing and prompt letting. I have had professional, friendly service throughout and I would certainly recommend Preston Baker to others for refurbishment work and lettings.”
Anne added: “Working with Preston Baker has just made everything so much easier for me and has made a big difference to my life in what has been a difficult year. I am very thankful to the Preston Baker team.”
