Just 10 minutes to Epworth, around half an hour to Doncaster, Gainsborough and Scunthorpe and just less than an hour to Sheffield, it is a small village with good transport links. The M18 and M180 links make it fairly popular and Robin Hood Airport is less than eight miles west.
HISTORY
In the civil parish of Haxey, Westwoodside was made up of Park, Newbigg, Nethergate, Upperthorpe and Commonside years ago. It was described in 1870 as a small village with a population of 626. Today it is mainly a commuter village.
