Branton satelitte

With many detached and semi-detached properties, the village of Branton is a sought after location outside Doncaster. The spacious homes in the leafy setting come with the added benefit of nearby schools, activities and amenities. It is that and the 10 minute drive or 25 minute bus journey to the centre that make this place so popular with families.

Cantley Hall Park is in neighbouring Old Cantley and it is expansive parkland great for walking and family picnics in summer. There are three golf courses within a short distance: Town Moor Golf Club, Warren Golf Course and Wheatley Golf Club. Yorkshire Wildlife Park is in Branton and the Dome has an ice skating rink and indoor pool.

Auckley has a fish and chip shop and Branton is home to The Three Horse Shoes pub, which also serves food, and Dragon Pearl takeaway. Popular restaurants in the area include Eagle & Child Inn, The Hayfield Bar & Restaurant, Horse & Groom and The Hare and Tortoise.

Branton Farm Nurseries is the local garden centre and the closest convenience store is the Spar in Auckley. Asda Doncaster is the nearest supermarket and is next to the Dome. For high street brands the town centre has all the best known brands and Lakeside Village Outlet is popular.

Branton St Wilfrid's Church of England Primary School is in the village. Most of the secondary school children go to The Hayfield School.

Set off the M18, Branton is ideally situated for anyone working in Doncaster. A 15 minute drive or half hour bus journey on the regular route, it is also close to the M180, A1(M) and just 2.7 miles from Robin Hood Airport.

For many years Branton was just a hamlet in Yorkshire and today it is still a small quiet village with a population of around 2,000. Across the M18, Cantley is a civil parish where the Hall is believed to have been a residence since the 7th or 8th century and the growth of this area is likely to have been how Branton was formed.
